Overview
As Site Manager you will lead daily on-site delivery for a £20m social housing development in London, coordinating multi-trade teams across traditional build and steel frame works. You’ll work with the Project Manager and delivery team to keep programmes on track while maintaining safety, quality, and environmental standards. The role offers exposure to major residential/mixed-use schemes and opportunities for ongoing professional development. You will play a key part in shaping site logistics and delivery outcomes.

Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day construction activities across the residential and mixed-use development
- Coordinate subcontractors, site operatives and specialist trades
- Plan and sequence works to ensure the project remains on programme
- Manage traditional build, steel frame and associated construction activities
- Coordinate works between different trades and project disciplines
- Monitor progress, productivity, workmanship and quality on site
- Ensure works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications and approved methodologies
- Review construction drawings and identify potential technical or sequencing issues
- Liaise with the Project Manager, engineers, commercial team, consultants and subcontractors
- Manage site logistics, materials, deliveries and resources
- Carry out regular inspections and oversee snagging and completion activities
- Maintain accurate site records and provide regular progress updates
- Ensure the highest standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance are maintained
Key requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager with a main contractor
- Strong experience delivering major new build residential projects
- Experience of apartment schemes, social housing or mixed-use developments preferred
- Good knowledge of traditional build and steel frame construction
- Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades on complex projects
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, programme and site logistics
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications and technical documentation
