Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Services Manager to lead the delivery of complex building services on a high-profile data centre project in London. This role is critical in ensuring the successful coordination, integration, and commissioning of all mechanical and electrical systems, driving technical excellence from design through to handover.
Working within a fast-paced, quality-driven environment, you will act as the key link between design teams, subcontractors, and site operations to ensure seamless project execution.
Responsibilities
- Technical Oversight & Coordination: Lead the review, coordination, and management of all MEP design and technical submittals, ensuring alignment with project specifications, programme, and client requirements.
- Design Management & Value Engineering: Drive design optimisation and value engineering initiatives, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and enhance system performance without compromising quality.
- Stakeholder & Interface Management: Act as the primary technical point of contact across internal teams, consultants, and specialist subcontractors, ensuring clear communication and resolution of technical issues.
- Commissioning & Handover Strategy: Oversee commissioning processes, ensuring all systems are delivered, tested, and validated in line with industry standards and client expectations, culminating in a smooth handover.
- Quality, Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all technical works are delivered in accordance with relevant codes, standards, and project QA/QC requirements, proactively identifying and mitigating risks throughout the lifecycle.
Requirements
- Must have 10+ years experience in a similar role on MEP focused projects including Data Centres.
- Must have relevant degree level qualifications or equivalent trades’ background.
- Must be based within a commutable distance of London.
