An established and fast-growing specialist contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join its commercial team in Northwest London. Operating at the forefront of complex structural packages, the business delivers high quality concrete frame, basement, and groundwork solutions across a strong portfolio of residential and mixed-use developments.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute professional to take ownership of tenders from initial enquiry through to handover, working within a collaborative environment that values technical expertise, precision, and proactive thinking.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Tender Pricing: Lead the end-to-end preparation of detailed and competitive tenders for concrete frame, basement, and groundwork packages, ensuring all pricing is aligned with project scope, programme, and commercial objectives.
  • Own Technical Review: Thoroughly review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to identify risks, gaps, and key assumptions, producing well-structured and fully supported estimates.
  • Manage Supply Chain Input: Engage with and manage subcontractor and supplier enquiries, critically analysing and levelling returns to ensure compliance, accuracy, and best value across all elements of the works.
  • Drive Value Engineering: Identify and develop value engineering opportunities and alternative construction methodologies, working closely with internal teams to enhance bid competitiveness without compromising quality or delivery.
  • Support Bid Conversion: Lead and support tender meetings, client presentations, and post-tender negotiations, clearly articulating pricing strategies and securing successful project outcomes while ensuring a smooth handover to delivery teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6+ years’ experience in an Estimator / Senior Estimator role, with a strong focus on concrete frame, basement, and groundwork packages.
  • Relevant degree qualification (e.g. Quantity Surveying, Construction Management) or a proven trade background with estimating experience.
  • Based within a commutable distance of North West London.
