Our client is a large and well-established MEP Sub-Contractor operating across the UK, Ireland & Europe. They undertake major Mechanical & Electrical Packages on behalf of Tier 1 main contractors involved in ‘technology’ schemes including Data Centres, Pharmaceutical, Semi-Conductor plants and heavy industrial projects. Due to continued growth, our client is now seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team based on a Commercial build in Central London.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Electrical Design & Coordination: Oversee the full electrical scope of the commercial project from design through to commissioning, ensuring compliance with UK building regulations, BS standards, and client specifications.
  • Manage Subcontractors & Site Delivery: Supervise electrical subcontractor activities on-site, driving programme adherence, quality assurance, and safety compliance across all installation phases.
  • Client & Consultant Liaison: Act as the main point of contact for electrical queries, attending site meetings, design reviews, and technical workshops to ensure stakeholder alignment.
  • Technical Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and review electrical drawings, technical submittals, method statements, and progress reports, ensuring timely approvals and project tracking.
  • Support Testing, Commissioning & Handover: Lead the testing and commissioning process in collaboration with the commissioning team, ensuring systems are fully operational and compliant for project handover.

Requirements

  • Must have Electrical Engineering Degree level qualification
  • Must have 8+ years’ experience in a similar role on large scale construction projects
  • Must have UK Passport or right to work in the UK
