We are supporting a leading UK main contractor on a £10m industrial energy centre project in Knutsford. The scheme involves a warehouse-style building housing high-value specialist plant and equipment, requiring a confident Project Manager to take stand-alone ownership of site delivery.
With a strong MEP subcontractor already in place, this role is firmly construction-led, suited to a Project Manager from a recognised main contractor background who is comfortable managing subcontractors, controlling delivery on site, and acting as the primary client-facing representative for a blue-chip end user.
Responsibilities- Overall Project Leadership & Scheme Delivery: Taking full responsibility for the successful delivery of the £10m project, acting as the senior Project Manager on site and owning all construction activities from mobilisation through to completion and handover.
- Main Contractor Led Subcontractor Coordination: Leading and managing all subcontractors on site in line with main contractor processes, driving performance against programme, quality benchmarks, and commercial expectations.
- Client Interface & Stakeholder Management: Acting as the primary point of contact for the client team, leading progress meetings, managing expectations, and maintaining a professional, solutions-driven relationship with a blue-chip end user.
- Programme Control & Short-Term Planning: Managing delivery against an existing construction programme, implementing short-term updates, sequencing works effectively, and maintaining clear look-ahead planning to ensure continuity of works on site.
- Construction Governance, Safety & Quality Control: Maintaining full control of site governance, ensuring works are delivered safely, to specification, and in accordance with company systems, reporting requirements, and industry best practice.
- Must have minimum 8+ years experience in a similar role on large scale construction projects (Preferably Industrial)
- Must have previous experience working on large scale construction projects with a Main Contractor
- Must be based within commutable distance of site in Knutsford
