We are currently working with a well-established MEP contractor operating throughout the UK in a range of sectors including education, healthcare, technology and commercial. There is an urgent need for an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a hospital project in Northamptonshire.
Responsibilities
- Commercial Management: Manage the full commercial lifecycle of MEP packages on a hospital construction project, ensuring effective cost control, value management, and alignment with project budgets.
- NEC Contract Administration (Option C): Administer NEC Option C contracts, including management of compensation events, early warnings, and target cost mechanisms to protect commercial position and project outcomes.
- Procurement & Supply Chain Management: Lead the procurement of MEP subcontract packages, ensuring competitive tendering, robust package buyouts, and alignment with project specifications and programme.
- Cost Reporting & Forecasting: Prepare accurate cost reports, forecasts, and final accounts, providing clear commercial insight to senior stakeholders across complex healthcare infrastructure projects.
- Stakeholder & Framework Coordination: Work collaboratively with project teams, clients, and supply chain partners, with experience across healthcare frameworks such as Procure 21 / Procure 23 being highly advantageous.
Requirements
- Must have previous experience administering NEC Option C contracts.
- Must have relevant degree level qualifications or equivalent trades background.
- Must be based within a commutable distance of Kettering.
Benefits
