We are working with a leading engineering delivery specialist who are supporting over 40 live data centre projects across the UK and are looking to appoint an experienced Controls / BMS / EMS Engineer. This is a flexible opportunity offering a hybrid working model (23 days remote) with the option to remain on contract or transition into a permanent role long-term.
You will play a key role in supporting the design, integration, and optimisation of BMS and EMS systems across multiple live and upcoming data centre projects. This is a great opportunity to work across a large portfolio of mission-critical sites, contributing to high-performance, energy-efficient environments.
The Role
- Support the design, configuration, and integration of BMS and EMS systems
- Work across multiple data centre projects providing remote technical support
- Assist with commissioning, testing, and optimisation of control systems
- Interface with site teams, commissioning engineers, and project stakeholders
- Troubleshoot and resolve controls-related issues across live environments
- Support energy monitoring, reporting, and system performance improvements
- Review technical documentation, drawings, and control strategies
- Ensure systems align with project specifications and client requirements
- Provide input into system upgrades, improvements, and innovation initiatives
About You
- Strong background in BMS / EMS / Controls Engineering
- Experience working on data centre or mission-critical projects
- Knowledge of HVAC controls, electrical systems, and automation
- Experience with systems such as Trend, Tridium, Siemens, Schneider, or similar
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
- Comfortable working remotely while supporting multiple projects
- Good communication skills and ability to engage with site teams
