We are currently looking to appoint an experienced MEP BIM Manager to lead the development and delivery of BIM across a growing offsite manufacturing and prefabrication programme supporting major construction projects. This role will play a key part in building and managing a new BIM prefab team, responsible for delivering detailed models and manufacturing drawings for prefabricated MEP assets including pump skids, multi-storey risers and combined distribution modules.
The successful candidate will take ownership of BIM strategy, coordination, standards and team leadership, supporting both the design and manufacturing teams to maximise DfMA and offsite construction opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the BIM delivery for prefabricated MEP systems and offsite modules
- Manage and mentor a team of MEP BIM Coordinators
- Oversee the production of 3D models and manufacturing drawings for prefabrication
- Ensure BIM models align with factory production requirements and site installation constraints
- Coordinate BIM information with design teams, project teams and manufacturing facilities
- Develop and maintain BIM standards, templates and workflows
- Manage federated models and ensure integration with wider project BIM environments
- Support the DfMA and offsite manufacturing strategy
- Coordinate with structural engineers and design consultants
- Review and optimise designs for prefabrication efficiency and installation sequencing
- Monitor BIM team workload, deliverables and project programmes
- Produce progress reports and coordinate RFI responses with design teams
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or related discipline
- 8-10+ years experience in BIM within MEP / Building Services
- Strong knowledge of MEP design and prefabrication processes
- Advanced experience using Revit, AutoCAD and Fabrication MEP
- Experience managing BIM teams or leading BIM coordination
- Knowledge of DfMA / modular construction / offsite manufacturing
- Strong understanding of MEP plant rooms, pipework and services coordination
