Our client is a large and well-established MEP Sub-Contractor operating across the UK, Ireland & Europe. They undertake major Mechanical & Electrical Packages on behalf of Tier 1 main contractors involved in technology schemes including Data Centres, Pharmaceutical, Semi-Conductor plants and heavy industrial projects.
Due to continued growth, our client is now seeking an experienced QAQC Manager to join their team based on a Commercial build in Central London.
Responsibilities- QA/QC Systems & ITP Management: Develop and implement project-specific QA/QC plans, detailed ITPs, and inspection checklists aligned with life sciences standards (e.g. cleanrooms, critical services), ensuring full compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Site Inspections & NCR Control: Carry out ongoing inspections of MEP installations (pipework, ductwork, containment, cabling, plant), ensuring works meet IFC drawings and approved submittals, while raising, tracking, and closing out NCRs in a timely manner.
- Test Pack & Turnover Management: Structure, manage, and track systemised test packs (pressure testing, flushing, electrical testing), ensuring progressive completion and sign-off in line with commissioning sequences and system boundaries.
- Subcontractor QA Oversight & Auditing: Manage subcontractor quality performance through regular audits, ensuring compliance with QA processes, material traceability (e.g. weld logs, certs), and adherence to project quality standards.
- Commissioning Readiness & Handover Documentation: Interface with commissioning teams to ensure systems are complete, compliant, and snag-free prior to testing, while overseeing the delivery of high-quality QA documentation including as-builts, O&Ms, and handover packs.
- Must have 6+ years experience in a similar role on large scale construction projects.
- Must have relevant MEP degree level qualifications or equivalent trades background.
- Must be based within a commutable distance of Central London.
