Project: £20m New Build Social Housing
Our client is an international main contractor with an established London regional business, delivering major new build and refurbishment schemes across the capital and surrounding areas. They are currently seeking an experienced Site Manager to join the team delivering a £20m new build residential development for a local Housing Association.
The project comprises a traditional build and steel frame structure providing apartments for social housing , together with commercial and mixed-use space at ground floor level. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day site management and delivery of the project, working closely with the Project Manager and wider delivery team.
Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day construction activities across the residential and mixed-use development.
Coordinate subcontractors, site operatives and specialist trades.
Plan and sequence works to ensure the project remains on programme.
Manage traditional build, steel frame and associated construction activities.
Coordinate works between different trades and project disciplines.
Monitor progress, productivity, workmanship and quality on site.
Ensure works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications and approved methodologies.
Review construction drawings and identify potential technical or sequencing issues.
Liaise with the Project Manager, engineers, commercial team, consultants and subcontractors.
Manage site logistics, materials, deliveries and resources.
Carry out regular inspections and oversee snagging and completion activities.
Maintain accurate site records and provide regular progress updates.
Ensure the highest standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance are maintained.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Site Manager with a main contractor.
Strong experience delivering major new build residential projects.
