b Overview /b p In this role you will lead the SHEQ function across multiple live construction sites, shaping a safety-first, quality-driven culture. You’ll align operations with strategic risk and compliance goals, driving continuous improvement and high standards across health, environmental and quality management. You will partner with directors, site teams and suppliers to ensure robust systems, training and accreditations. This is a chance to influence safety, sustainability and quality at scale within a respected contractor. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li competitive salary /li li 25 days’ holiday + bank holidays /li li electric car salary sacrifice scheme /li li cycle-to-work scheme /li li private family healthcare /li li autonomy to shape strategy /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Set the tone for SHEQ by chairing committees and embedding continuous safety improvement /li li Develop and enforce SHEQ systems, risk assessments and safe work practices across sites /li li Oversee incident investigations, reports and action close-out /li li Support bid teams with SHEQ input and HRB regulation policies /li li Maintain accreditations (ISO 45001, CHAS, Constructionline, BSC) and deliver board reports /li li Own ISO 14001, SWMPs, supplier environmental audits and sustainability initiatives /li li Maintain ISO 9001 and lead quality audits from pre-construction to handover /li li Manage training records, certifications for workforce and subcontractors /li li Drive learning-first culture through training needs and compliance /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Chartered Member of IOSH (essential) /li li NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma or equivalent Health Safety qualification /li li Strong knowledge of UK H S law and its application on construction sites /li li Proven leadership across multi-site main contractor environments /li li Experience leading SHEQ at a main contractor with multi-site exposure /li li Passion for safer, smarter, cleaner and more efficient project delivery /li /ul ul li leadership /li li influence from boardroom to site /li li communication /li li ISO 45001 /li li ISO 14001 /li li ISO 9001 /li /ul
