Our client is a leading international main contractor delivering some of Europe's most advanced hyperscale and mission-critical data centre developments. They are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join the delivery team on a landmark £10bn hyperscale data centre campus in Blyth, North East England. This flagship development, one of the largest data centre campuses in Europe, will be delivered over the next decade and represents one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the installation of electrical systems across a major phase of the project, ensuring works are delivered safely, to the highest quality standards and in line with programme requirements. Working closely with Electrical Construction Managers, engineers, subcontractors and client representatives, you will coordinate day-to-day site activities, oversee specialist installation teams and ensure all electrical works are completed in accordance with design intent, project specifications and commissioning requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise day-to-day electrical installation activities across the project
- Coordinate electrical subcontractors and specialist installation teams
- Oversee the installation of HV/LV systems, switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, generators, containment, lighting and associated electrical infrastructure
- Ensure works are completed safely, to programme and in accordance with project specifications
- Monitor productivity and identify potential delays or programme risks
- Carry out site inspections, quality checks and ensure defects are rectified promptly
- Coordinate interfaces between electrical, mechanical, CSA and commissioning teams
- Review drawings, technical documentation and installation sequences
- Ensure materials, plant and labour resources are available to support project delivery
- Maintain accurate site records, progress reports and inspection documentation
- Promote and enforce the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance
- Support testing, commissioning, snagging and final handover activities
- Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor on major construction projects
- Previous experience delivering hyperscale data centres, mission-critical facilities, industrial or large-scale commercial developments
- Strong technical knowledge of HV/LV electrical systems and building services installations
- Experience supervising electrical subcontractors and multidisciplinary site teams
- Good understanding of QA/QC, testing and commissioning processes
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
- SSSTS or SMSTS qualification
- ECS/CSCS card
- First Aid qualification desirable
- Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills
