A growing and forward-thinking building services consultancy is seeking an experienced Electrical Building Services Design Engineer to join its dynamic team in London. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity suited to a technically strong, motivated professional with a passion for electrical design across diverse sectors.

You will play a key role in delivering innovative and compliant electrical designs for residential, educational, commercial, and healthcare projects covering all RIBA stages from early concept through to completion. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing environment and enjoys taking full ownership of their projects from design to handover.

Your Role Will Include:

  • Designing and developing electrical building services solutions from RIBA Stages 1 to 4
  • Overseeing and managing projects during RIBA Stages 5 and 6, ensuring technical and delivery excellence
  • Liaising directly with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to interpret requirements and present solutions
  • Preparing clear and detailed reports, specifications, and technical documents
  • Conducting site visits and inspections, providing project oversight and guidance through to completion
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate design interfaces and deliverables
  • Playing an active part in client relationship management and supporting business development initiatives

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum HND qualification in Electrical Engineering (degree preferred)
  • At least 5 years of experience delivering building services electrical design across all RIBA stages
  • Demonstrated experience in client-facing roles with strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, with experience using other design and calculation software advantageous
  • High level of proficiency in MS Word and Excel for report writing and specification development
  • Valid UK driving licence, business insurance, and access to own vehicle for site visits
  • Energetic, proactive, and self-motivated team player with excellent communication and leadership skills
  • A passion for continuous learning and maintaining up-to-date industry knowledge
