Electrical Contracts Manager Hospital Exeter

Our client is a Main Contractor with a proven track record of nationwide coverage of various projects. Specialising in MEP install, they are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join their team in Exeter on a Hospital Construction build until Christmas and then move to another project in Plymouth for 2 years.

Responsibilities

Oversee project delivery Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of all electrical packages within the hospital project, ensuring works are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.

Manage subcontractors and suppliers Procure, appoint, and oversee electrical subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, safety standards, and project milestones.

Programme and progress control Develop and monitor detailed project programmes, tracking progress, mitigating risks, and reporting regularly to senior management and stakeholders.

Stakeholder coordination Act as the key point of contact between the client, design consultants, main contractor team, and specialist trades, ensuring seamless communication and resolution of issues.

Commercial and contractual management Support cost control and contract administration, including variations, valuations, and financial forecasting to protect project margins and commercial objectives.

Requirements

Must have relevant degree level qualifications or equivalent trades background

Must have 10+ years experience in a similar role (preferably on healthcare construction projects)

Must be based within commutable distance of sites in Exeter and Plymouth
