A leading Tier 1 Main Contractor is seeking an experienced Technical Services Manager to join its growing Mission Critical division in Central London.


With a strong pipeline of major refurbishment, commercial fit-out, mixed-use, hospitality, residential, and landmark city-centre developments, this is an excellent opportunity for a Building Services professional looking to play a key role on some of London's most prestigious construction projects.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing MEP design coordination, technical delivery, commissioning strategy, and stakeholder management throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring the successful delivery of complex building services packages on high-profile developments.


The Role

Lead the technical delivery of MEP packages from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.
Manage design coordination between consultants, subcontractors, and project teams.
Review and manage technical submittals, specifications, drawings, and design changes.
Ensure building services installations are delivered in line with project requirements.
Coordinate technical workshops and design review meetings.
Drive programme delivery and monitor technical milestones.
Support procurement teams during subcontractor selection and package award.
Manage commissioning strategies and witness testing activities.
Coordinate with construction, commercial, planning, and commissioning teams.
Identify and resolve technical and design-related issues.
Ensure compliance with client requirements, industry standards, and statutory regulations.
Support project teams with value engineering and technical solutions.
Manage project risk and technical change control processes.
Produce technical reports and progress updates for senior management.
Support project close-out and handover activities.

Requirements

Degree qualified in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
Minimum 5 years' experience in a Technical Services Manager, Building Services Manager, or MEP Manager position.
Strong understanding of MEP systems and building services delivery.
Experience working for a Main Contractor, Data Centre Contractor, or Tier 1 Construction Business.
Proven experience delivering large-scale commercial, mission critical, life sciences, healthcare, or data centre projects.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Strong understanding of commissioning, QA/QC, and project handover processes.
Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced construction environment.
