Our client is a large and well-established MEP Sub-Contractor operating across the UK, Ireland & Europe. They undertake major Mechanical & Electrical Packages on behalf of Tier:1 main contractors involved in technology schemes including Data Centres, Pharmaceutical, Semi-Conductor plants and heavy industrial projects. Due to continued growth in the region of their Commercial division, our client is now seeking an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor to join their team based on a Commercial Development in London.
Responsibilities
- Commercial Management of MEP Packages: Manage the commercial aspects of mechanical, electrical, and public health packages, including cost planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management throughout the project lifecycle.
- Subcontract & Procurement Management: Support procurement and commercial management of MEP subcontractors and suppliers, including tender analysis, contract administration, valuation of works, and payment recommendations.
- Cost Control & Change Management: Monitor project costs, manage variations and change control, and prepare accurate cost reports, ensuring commercial risks and opportunities are identified and managed proactively.
- Valuations, Reporting & Final Accounts: Prepare and agree interim valuations, cost reports, and final accounts in line with contract requirements, providing clear and timely commercial reporting to senior project stakeholders.
- Client & Stakeholder Liaison: Work closely with project managers, engineers, the main contractor, and client teams to support commercial decision-making, resolve commercial issues, and contribute to successful project delivery.
Requirements
- Must have relevant degree level qualifications in Quantity surveying, MEP Engineering or similar
- Must have 5 years experience in a similar role on construction projects
- Must be based within commutable distance of London
