An internationally recognised tier-one contractor is appointing a Commissioning Manager to lead the commissioning strategy across a large-scale urban development incorporating public-sector buildings and commercial facilities. This is a senior, client-facing role with responsibility for managing commissioning across all disciplines and ensuring a structured, compliant, and efficient route to handover.
You will develop, implement, and control the commissioning plan for the full development, coordinating multiple stakeholders while ensuring programme alignment, technical compliance, and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage the overall commissioning strategy and programme
- Coordinate commissioning activities across mechanical, electrical, BMS, and specialist systems
- Interface with design teams, subcontractors, client representatives, and authorities
- Lead system completion, testing, witnessing, and certification processes
- Manage phased handovers and final client acceptance
- Maintain commissioning registers, trackers, and progress reports
- Identify and mitigate commissioning risks to programme and quality
- Demonstrated experience as a Commissioning Manager on large-scale developments
- Strong technical understanding of integrated MEP systems
- Confident communicator with strong organisational skills
- Experience in public-sector or regulated environments is advantageous
