Our client is a Main Contractor with a proven track record of nationwide coverage of various projects. Specialising in MEP install, they are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join their team in Andover on a Retail Fit Out project for 5 months.
Responsibilities
- Day-to-Day Site Management: Take full responsibility for the daily management of site activities on a fast-paced retail fit-out project, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards.
- Programme & Subcontractor Coordination: Manage subcontractors and trades on site, coordinating sequencing, access, and logistics to achieve key milestones within a tight fit-out programme.
- Health, Safety & Compliance: Enforce site health and safety standards, conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and inspections, ensuring full compliance with company procedures and statutory regulations.
- Quality Control & Defect Management: Monitor workmanship across all trades, carry out snagging and quality inspections, and ensure defects are closed out efficiently in line with client expectations.
- Client & Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the on-site point of contact for the client, consultants, and suppliers, providing regular progress updates and supporting handover at project completion.
Requirements
- Must hold Asbestos, SMSTS and First Aid certificates
- Must have 5+ years experience in a similar role with experience on retail fit out projects or similar
- Must be based within a commutable distance of Andover and be able to travel to site 5 days a week
