We are working with a respected main contractor delivering large-scale refurbishment and new build projects across London, specialising in façade works, roofing systems and cladding remediation. They are seeking a competent Health & Safety Officer to join their project team and ensure all H&S aspects are managed to the highest standard.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee health and safety delivery across cladding, roofing and other high-risk trades.
- Develop and manage Safe Systems of Work (SSoWs), RAMS, toolbox talks and site inspections.
- Conduct site audits, risk assessments, H&S briefings for operatives and sub-contractors.
- Ensure compliance with UK construction legislation (e.g., CDM 2015), working at height regulations, façade & cladding safety standards.
- Monitor site behaviour, PPE, permit to work systems and send accurate H&S reports to Project Manager.
- Work collaboratively with site management, subcontractors and specialists to promote a strong safety culture.
You will have:
- NEBOSH (Construction) or equivalent qualification and IOSH membership.
- Experience working on cladding/roofing/height works environments.
- Strong understanding of façade systems, roofing, safe access and working at height.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Based in or near London and able to travel across London sites.
