Business Development Manager - Packaging
Location: Midlands-based | Hybrid / Field-based (Wolverhampton office)
Basic Salary: £35,000-£50,000 DOE + £20,000-£30,000 realistic OTE + uncapped commission
Additional Benefits: Company car or car allowance + benefits package
The Opportunity
We are working with a growing, innovative packaging manufacturer seeking an ambitious and commercially driven Business Development Manager to join its expanding sales team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking business specialising in high-quality flexible packaging and digital pouch solutions, supplying customers across a variety of sectors, including food and drink, pet food, cosmetics, healthcare and sports nutrition.
With continued investment in technology, innovation and growth, the business offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced packaging sales professional to make a real impact, develop new customer relationships and grow existing accounts.
The Role
As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving new business growth while managing and developing an established portfolio of customers.
Key responsibilities will include:
Identifying, targeting and winning new business opportunities within the packaging market.
Developing and growing relationships with manufacturers, brand owners and key decision-makers.
Managing and expanding existing customer accounts to maximise revenue and profitability.
Selling value-added packaging solutions tailored to customers' technical and commercial requirements.
Managing the full sales cycle, from prospecting and initial engagement through to negotiation and closing.
Working closely with internal production and technical teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
Building long-term strategic partnerships and delivering excellent customer service.
Achieving and exceeding agreed sales targets.
