Support Worker – Children's Residential Home (Outstanding Ofsted Rating!)

?? Location: Thaxted?? Full-Time | £13.50 per hour | 37.5 hours per week

Are you a caring, reliable person looking to make a real difference in young people's lives? We're recruiting Support Workers to join our friendly, supportive team at our Outstanding-rated children's home for young people with learning disabilities.

About the Role

You'll be part of a warm, passionate team supporting five children (mixed gender) in a nurturing, family-style environment. Every day is different – from helping with daily routines and activities to offering emotional and practical support that empowers our young people to thrive.

Shift Pattern:

  • 2 x Long Days: 7:30am – 10:00pm

  • 1 x Half Day: 2:30pm – 10:00pm(37.5 hours per week)

What We're Looking For

  • A driver aged 23+ with a manual UK licence held for at least 2 years (maximum 3 points)

  • Someone who can communicate clearly and confidently – verbal interaction is key in this role

  • Experience in care or working with children is preferable but not essential – full training will be provided

  • A genuine passion for helping others and a commitment to creating a safe, positive environment
