An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Press Brake Setter / Operator to join a busy and well-established manufacturing team in North Essex. This role is ideal for someone with strong sheet metal fabrication experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment where precision and quality are essential. You'll play a key part in the manufacturing process, setting and operating CNC press brake machinery to produce high-quality components to exact specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Setting and operating CNC press brake machines
  • Working accurately from technical drawings and fabrication sketches
  • Interpreting engineering drawings and working to tight tolerances
  • Calculating blank sizes and understanding bending allowances
  • Adjusting machinery to maintain production accuracy and consistency
  • Maintaining a safe and organised working environment
  • Working closely with the wider production team to meet deadlines and quality standards

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Press Brake Setter / Operator
  • Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes
  • The ability to confidently read and interpret technical drawings
  • Experience calculating flat/blank sizes
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • The ability to work independently and within a team environment
