Recruitment & Onboarding Coordinator
3-Month Fixed-Term Contract
Salary: £14.50-£14.75 per hour
Location: Hybrid working with occasional travel to sites across England
Our client is seeking an experienced and highly organised Recruitment & Onboarding Coordinator to join their team on a 3-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a recruitment, HR, or onboarding professional to contribute to a busy and fast-paced organisation while supporting the successful onboarding of new employees.
The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating all aspects of the onboarding process, ensuring pre-employment checks, compliance requirements, and new starter activities are completed efficiently and accurately. Working closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and operational teams, you will help deliver a seamless candidate experience while maintaining high compliance standards and supporting hiring objectives.
This position would suit an individual who thrives in a detail-oriented environment, enjoys stakeholder engagement, and is confident managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the end-to-end onboarding process for new starters.
- Manage and monitor pre-employment checks, including references, right-to-work verification, and compliance documentation.
- Liaise with candidates, hiring managers, recruiters, and internal departments to ensure onboarding activities are completed within agreed timescales.
- Track onboarding progress and proactively resolve any issues that may impact start dates.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company policies and relevant legislation.
- Support initiatives aimed at improving onboarding efficiency, candidate experience, and time-to-hire metrics.
- Produce onboarding reports and provide updates to key stakeholders as required.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience within recruitment coordination, onboarding, HR administration, or a similar role.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Experience working with recruitment systems, HR platforms, or applicant tracking systems.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach to work.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

Reporting Structure
The successful candidate will report to the Head of Recruitment & Onboarding, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to a Divisional Recruitment Lead.
