Our client is a well‑established and highly regarded legal practice with a long‑standing reputation for delivering exceptional client service. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a motivated and organised Legal Secretary / Paralegal to join their Conveyancing team.
Opportunity
Working alongside an experienced Conveyancing team, the successful candidate will provide essential support across a varied caseload and assist with the day‑to‑day progression of property matters. This role would suit someone who is proactive, organised and eager to develop their knowledge and experience within a busy legal environment. The position offers excellent exposure across the conveyancing process, with potential for greater responsibility and progression over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to fee earners and the wider Conveyancing team on a range of residential property matters
- Assist with the conveyancing process from instruction through to post‑completion work
- Carry out administrative tasks including filing, handling post, opening and closing files, and maintaining accurate records on the case management system
- Complete online searches, applications and documentation through systems such as HM Land Registry
- Prepare draft documents, invoices and client correspondence
- Deal with client enquiries and provide updates wherever possible
- Assist with incoming and outgoing telephone calls and liaise with third parties where required
- Support fee earners in progressing matters proactively and efficiently
- Opportunity to manage a small caseload under supervision as experience develops
About You
- Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, Paralegal or within a similar legal support role
- Basic knowledge of the conveyancing process, including post‑completion procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational abilities with exceptional attention to detail
- The ability to manage workload effectively with minimal supervision
- Excellent client care skills and a professional approach
