Job Title: Legal Secretary – Litigation Location: Birmingham (On Site) Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 per annum + Excellent Benefits About the Opportunity: Our client, a well-established and highly respected national law firm, is looking to appoint an experienced Legal Secretary to join their growing litigation team. With five offices strategically located across the Midlands and East Anglia, they pride themselves on a one-team ethos, a collaborative culture, and longstanding client relationships built on trust, expertise, and commercial insight. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced professional environment and takes pride in delivering outstanding support to fee earners and clients alike. Key Responsibilities: Provide high-quality typing, secretarial, and administrative support to a busy team of litigation fee earners. Transcribe and prepare correspondence and legal documents using digital dictation and firm precedents. Operate case management systems, manage electronic filing, and maintain accurate client/matter files. Act as first point of contact for client document requests, handling compliance and secure storage procedures. Manage diaries, book appointments, arrange meetings, and coordinate travel as required. Process incoming and outgoing mail, scan, e-fax, print, and photocopy documents. Support the preparation of bills and correspondence, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to firm protocols. Contribute to a collaborative team environment, supporting colleagues and sharing best practices. What We\’re Looking For: Proven experience as a Legal Secretary (or similar secretarial role within a professional services firm). Strong IT skills with solid knowledge of Microsoft Office and digital dictation tools. Accurate typing skills and excellent attention to detail in spelling, punctuation, and document formatting. Professional communication style and the ability to stay calm under pressure. Organised, proactive, and flexible with a \”can-do\” attitude and team spirit.
