We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Children's Residential Support Workers to join a well-established 5-bed mixed-gender children's residential home in Stanford-le-Hope. This is a full-time position, ideal for professionals who are passionate about supporting children and young people in a nurturing, structured, and safe environment. The home supports children and young people aged 8-18 with learning disabilities, focusing on promoting independence, emotional wellbeing, and positive life outcomes.

The Role

  • Provide high-quality, person-centred care to children and young people
  • Support with daily routines, personal care, education, and social development
  • Promote independence, positive behaviour, and emotional resilience
  • Maintain accurate records in line with safeguarding and regulatory standards
  • Support young people in community activities, appointments, and outings
  • Work as part of a committed, supportive care team

Essential Requirements

  • Must be aged 22 or over
  • Full UK manual driving licence, held for a minimum of 2 years
  • Previous experience within a residential or care setting
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Fully flexible and reliable
  • Strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to safeguarding children

Desirable

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it)
  • Experience supporting children with learning disabilities, autism, or sensory needs
  • Knowledge of positive behaviour support strategies
