Senior Associate - Financial Crime Operations Location Harrow Job Type Full-Time | Permanent The Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Associate - Financial Crime Operations to join our Financial Crime team.
This role is responsible for supporting the prevention, detection and investigation of financial crime risks across the Bank, ensuring compliance with UK regulatory requirements and internal policies.
You will play a key role in protecting the Bank from money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions breaches and fraud by conducting high-quality investigations, supporting operational improvements and working collaboratively with internal stakeholders.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Financial Crime professional looking to further develop their expertise within a fast-paced and regulated banking environment.
Key Responsibilities Transaction Monitoring Investigate transaction monitoring alerts generated by automated monitoring systems.
Analyse customer transactional behaviour to identify unusual or suspicious activity.
Determine whether alerts represent genuine financial crime concerns or false positives.
Escalate suspicious activity through internal Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).
Complete investigations within agreed service level agreements.
Fraud Risk Management Investigate fraud alerts including APP fraud, mule account activity, impersonation and identity theft.
