A well-established law firm is seeking a Private Client Solicitor to join its experienced and supportive Private Client team. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified or junior solicitor to develop their career while working with a broad range of clients on a variety of private client matters.

The successful candidate will manage an appropriate caseload with supervision and support, provide clear and practical legal advice, and contribute to delivering a high standard of client service. This role would suit an organised, approachable solicitor who is keen to develop their technical knowledge and confidence within a busy and supportive private client practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing an appropriate caseload of private client matters with supervision and support.
  • Advising clients on wills, estate planning, probate, estate administration and lasting powers of attorney.
  • Drafting legal documents, correspondence and attendance notes accurately and effectively.
  • Building strong client relationships and providing a professional, empathetic and efficient service.
  • Maintaining accurate files and records in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across the department and wider firm.
  • Supporting marketing and business development activities where appropriate.
  • Developing external relationships and identifying opportunities for new work.

About You

The ideal candidate will be a qualified solicitor, ideally NQ-2 years' PQE, with experience or a strong interest in Private Client work.

You will have:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Good time-management and case-management abilities.
  • A professional and client-focused approach.
  • A genuine interest in developing a career within Private Client law.
  • Previous experience in wills, probate, estate administration, trusts or powers of attorney would be advantageous, although candidates who are enthusiastic about developing within this area are also encouraged to apply.
