This is a fully office-based role offering a competitive salary of £32,000 per annum. In this pivotal position, you will oversee the day-to-day operational activities of the branch, providing leadership to the team of Personal Bankers and ensuring consistent delivery of high service standards. You will work closely with the Area Branch Manager, stepping in to manage the branch in their absence, and liaise with head office departments including Operations and Compliance. Key Responsibilities: Take joint responsibility with the Area Branch Manager for operational excellence. Act as the line manager for Personal Bankers/Cashiers regarding operational performance. Oversee cash management, including joint custody of cash, lockers, and key security items. Supervise and authorise cash transactions, demand drafts, and account debits. Ensure compliance with KYC/AML guidelines for all relevant transactions. Monitor and manage stationery, security forms, clearing transactions, and reconciliations. Handle account opening/closing procedures and ensure the accuracy of loan documentation. Assist in loan processing, drawing power calculations, and renewal proposals. Maintain branch standards for customer service, cleanliness, data security, and punctuality. Provide support during branch audits, and ensure ongoing compliance and recordkeeping.
