Our client, a highly regarded Legal 500 Family team with a strong regional reputation, is seeking an experienced Family Solicitor to join its expanding department. Due to continued growth and increased workload, this is a key strategic hire offering genuine scope to shape the future direction of the team.
While applications are welcomed from fee-earners at varying levels, this opportunity is particularly suited to a senior solicitor (8+ PQE) looking to take on a pivotal role with clear progression prospects.
The Role
You will manage your own caseload of privately funded family matters, with a strong focus on divorce, financial remedy and nuptial agreement cases. The role offers high-quality, complex work within a supportive and collaborative environment.
In addition to fee-earning responsibilities, you will play an active role in maintaining and enhancing the team's strong market reputation through business development and relationship building.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently managing a caseload of divorce and financial remedy matters
- Advising on and drafting nuptial agreements
- Attending court hearings including Directions Hearings, First Appointments and FDRs
- Ensuring full compliance with file management and regulatory standards
- Building and maintaining relationships with professional referrers and local organisations
- Supporting and mentoring junior colleagues
- Contributing to marketing and business development initiatives
About You
- Qualified Family Solicitor with a minimum of 8 years' PQE
- Strong experience in divorce, financial disputes and nuptial agreements
- Familiarity with TOLATA claims, cohabitation agreements and declarations of trust (desirable)
- Hold a clean, valid practising certificate
- Professional, proactive and commercially aware
- Excellent drafting, analytical and organisational skills
- Confident in managing your own caseload and meeting deadlines
- Collaborative team player with strong client relationship skills
