An established engineering workshop in Harlow is looking for an experienced Industrial Mechanical Engineering Supervisor to join the team. If you have a strong electro-mechanical background and enjoy leading engineers while staying hands-on with repairs, this could be the role for you.
The Role
Youll supervise and support workshop engineers while managing repairs and rebuilds of industrial equipment, including:
- Single three-phase electric motors
- Industrial pumps (freshwater, sewage, hot cold water)
- Gearboxes
- Fans and blower units
Youll oversee jobs from strip-down to repair, testing and completion, ensuring work is completed safely, accurately and on time. Larger equipment can reach up to 315kW, so strong technical knowledge is essential.
What We're Looking For
- Strong mechanical / electro-mechanical engineering background
- Experience repairing industrial motors, pumps or gearboxes
- Workshop experience with strip, survey, assembly and testing
- Ability to fault find and diagnose mechanical issues
- Leadership skills with the ability to guide and coordinate engineers
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
This is a full time, permanent position working Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm with an early finish on Fridays. There are also great benefits on offer.
