We are recruiting on behalf of a prestigious luxury hotel and spa near Ipswich for an experienced and passionate Senior Spa Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a professional spa team within a premium hospitality environment, delivering exceptional guest experiences while driving commercial success. The successful candidate will combine strong leadership skills with a hands-on approach, ensuring the highest standards of service, treatment delivery, and operational excellence.
Reporting directly to the Hotel General Manager, you will take full responsibility for the financial performance, day-to-day operations, and ongoing development of the spa. You will inspire and support your team while creating an outstanding wellness experience for every guest.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and develop the spa team to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Oversee the daily operation of the spa, ensuring the highest standards are consistently maintained.
- Provide treatments when required to maximise therapist utilisation and treatment room capacity.
- Manage staff rotas and appointment schedules to optimise occupancy and revenue.
- Drive retail sales and identify opportunities to increase spa income.
- Work closely with the Hotel General Manager to develop marketing initiatives, promotions and seasonal spa packages.
- Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements to enhance the customer experience.
- Stay informed of industry and wellness trends to ensure the spa remains competitive and innovative.
- Prepare monthly management reports, including financial performance, occupancy, guest satisfaction and revenue growth.
About You

Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Beauty Therapy.
- Minimum of two years experience in a senior spa management position.
- Previous experience within a luxury spa, hotel or wellness environment.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to manage budgets and drive profitability.
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- A hands-on management style with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
- Flexibility to work Monday to Sunday on a rota basis.
