Our client is a well-established and highly regarded legal practice with a long-standing reputation for delivering exceptional client service. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a motivated and organised Legal Secretary / Paralegal to join their Conveyancing team.

The Opportunity

Working alongside an experienced Conveyancing team, the successful candidate will provide essential support across a varied caseload and assist with the day-to-day progression of property matters. This role would suit someone who is proactive, organised and eager to develop their knowledge and experience within a busy legal environment. The position offers excellent exposure across the conveyancing process, with potential for greater responsibility and progression over time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to fee earners and the wider Conveyancing team on a range of residential property matters
  • Assist with the conveyancing process from instruction through to post-completion work
  • Carry out administrative tasks including filing, handling post, opening and closing files, and maintaining accurate records on the case management system
  • Complete online searches, applications and documentation through systems such as HM Land Registry
  • Prepare draft documents, invoices and client correspondence
  • Deal with client enquiries and provide updates wherever possible
  • Assist with incoming and outgoing telephone calls and liaise with third parties where required
  • Support fee earners in progressing matters proactively and efficiently
  • Opportunity to manage a small caseload under supervision as experience develops

About You

To be considered for this opportunity, applicants should possess:

  • Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, Paralegal or within a similar legal support role
  • Basic knowledge of the conveyancing process, including post-completion procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
