We are representing a well-established premier Industrial Mechanical and Electrical Engineering firm in Essex who are seeking a Site Mechanical Manager to bridge the gap between office-based strategy and site-based execution.

This is a pivotal role where you will manage a dedicated team of Mechanical Engineers servicing critical infrastructure, including 3-phase motors, fan units, and complex water pump systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Manage, recruit, and handle the technical development and appraisals of site engineers.
  • Site Management: Conduct site visits to assess customer requirements and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Commercial Oversight: Produce accurate quotations and maintain proactive communication with clients regarding project progress.
  • Safety First: Ensure all works strictly adhere to Health and Safety requirements and Mechanical Safe Systems of Work.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in Mechanical Engineering with previous experience in a leadership or management role.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of industrial pumps and motors; ideally trained with an electrical bias.
  • Qualifications: Full driving licence is essential. Candidates who are both electrically and mechanically qualified are highly preferred.
