Our client, a well-established and reputable law firm in Basildon, is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join its growing team, focusing on non-contentious Wills, Probate, and Trusts work. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and technically strong solicitor to take ownership of a busy and varied caseload within a supportive and professional environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality legal services while ensuring compliance with all regulatory and professional standards.
The Role
- Managing a varied Private Client caseload independently.
- Advising clients on Wills, Probate, Estate Administration, and Trust matters.
- Drafting Wills, LPAs, and other legal documentation.
- Handling estate administration from start to finish.
- Conducting legal research and ensuring matters are dealt with accurately and efficiently.
- Liaising with clients, beneficiaries, financial institutions, and third parties.
- Ensuring compliance with Law Society, SRA, and firm procedures at all times.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case management records.
- Delivering high standards of client care throughout all matters.
- Supporting junior team members where appropriate.
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 5 years' PQE in Private Client law.
- Strong experience in Wills, Probate, and Trusts work.
- Ability to manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision.
- Excellent drafting, communication, and organisational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Client-focused approach with strong interpersonal skills.
- Sound knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
