Flexographic Printing Operator
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne, Longbenton
Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
About the Role
We are currently seeking a time-served Flexographic Printing Operator with experience running multi-colour presses to join an established and growing manufacturing business.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced printer to join a busy production environment, producing high-quality printed labels and products to customer specifications and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate and maintain multi-colour flexographic printing presses.
- Complete print jobs to the required quality standards and within agreed deadlines.
- Monitor print quality, colour consistency and registration throughout production runs.
- Carry out routine press maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical or print-related issues.
- Set up presses efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime and waste.
- Work closely with the wider production team to maintain an efficient workflow.
- Complete relevant production and quality documentation.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Adhere to all company health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Time-served or experienced Flexographic Printer/Operator.
- Proven experience operating multi-colour flexographic printing presses.
- Experience with embellishments such as hot foil and/or cold foil would be advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, proactive and flexible approach to work.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
