Sous Chef Luxury Restaurant | West Mersea An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join the team at a luxury restaurant in West Mersea .

We're looking for someone who loves exceptional food, works with the finest seasonal produce, and enjoys leading a team in a quality-driven kitchen.

Working closely with the Head Chef, you'll play a key role in delivering outstanding dining experiences while helping to inspire and develop those around you.

The Role As Sous Chef, you will: Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen.

Lead kitchen service, preparation, and closing procedures.

Train, mentor, and motivate the kitchen team across all sections.

Manage ordering, stock control, and maintain exceptional kitchen standards.

Contribute to menu development and take ownership of key menu sections.

Lead by example, ensuring consistency, quality, and attention to detail in every service.

About You We're looking for someone who: Has at least 3 years' experience as a Senior Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef within a quality restaurant.

Is a confident leader with excellent people management skills.

Balances creativity with consistency and strong organisational skills.

Is ready to take the next step in their career within a high-end hospitality environment.

Hours40-45 hours per week across 4-5 days.

Two consecutive days off each week (Monday and Tuesday).

A variety of shifts including: 7:30am-3:00pm9:00am-4:00pm4:00pm-11:00pm9:00am-11:00pm (with a two-hour break)Closed every year on 25th and 26th December .
