Leading Manufacturing Company in Colchester, Essex is seeking an organised and proactive Office Manager to support the smooth running of the business.
Working Hours:
- Monday - Thursday: 8:00am - 5:00pm
- Friday: 8:00am - 1:00pm
About the Company:
Our client is a well-established manufacturing business with approximately 25 employees, supplying specialist products across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an Office Manager.
The Role:
This is a varied, hands-on role overseeing office operations, purchasing, ERP/MRP system administration, and general business support. The successful candidate will work closely with multiple departments to help maintain efficient day-to-day operations. Initially, there will be no direct reports, although there is potential for 1-2 existing staff members to move under the role in the future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Raise and manage purchase orders and supplier communications
- Maintain accurate records within the ERP/MRP system
- Support stock, purchasing, and operational administration
- Coordinate office systems, IT support, and equipment
- Support finance administration, payroll coordination, and reporting
- Maintain office records, compliance documentation, and health & safety administration
- Assist with onboarding/offboarding and general office management duties
Skills & Experience:
Essential:
- Previous experience in an Office Manager, Operations, or Administration role
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems is essential
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Good Microsoft Office knowledge
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail
- Practical, proactive, and hands-on approach
Desirable:
- Experience within manufacturing, engineering, or production environments
- Understanding of purchasing, invoices, and finance administration
- Experience coordinating IT providers or office systems
Salary & Benefits:
