An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Press Brake Setter / Operator to join a busy and well-established manufacturing team in North Essex. This role is ideal for someone with strong sheet metal fabrication experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment where precision and quality are essential.
You'll play a key part in the manufacturing process, setting and operating CNC press brake machinery to produce high-quality components to exact specifications. Key responsibilities include:
- Setting and operating CNC press brake machines
- Working accurately from technical drawings and fabrication sketches
- Interpreting engineering drawings and working to tight tolerances
- Calculating blank sizes and understanding bending allowances
- Adjusting machinery to maintain production accuracy and consistency
- Maintaining a safe and organised working environment
- Working closely with the wider production team to meet deadlines and quality standards
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Press Brake Setter / Operator
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes
- The ability to confidently read and interpret technical drawings
- Experience calculating flat/blank sizes
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- The ability to work independently and within a team environment
The successful applicant can expect:
