Our client, a long-established and highly respected law firm, is seeking an experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join its growing Dispute Resolution and Personal Injury team. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented solicitor with a passion for achieving justice for clients who have suffered as a result of medical negligence. The Role
- Manage a varied caseload of claimant clinical negligence matters, supporting clients through complex and often sensitive claims with professionalism, empathy and expert legal advice.
- Managing a caseload of clinical negligence claims from inception through to conclusion.
- Investigating claims and assessing liability, causation and quantum.
- Obtaining and reviewing medical records and expert evidence.
- Drafting correspondence, witness statements, schedules of loss and court documents.
- Negotiating settlements and representing clients throughout the claims process.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, medical experts, barristers and other professionals.
- Supporting business development initiatives and helping to raise the profile of the department.
About You
We are seeking a qualified Solicitor with approximately 5 years' PQE and demonstrable experience handling claimant clinical negligence matters. The successful candidate will possess:
- Strong technical knowledge of clinical negligence law and procedure.
- Experience managing a varied caseload with minimal supervision.
- Excellent analytical and investigative skills.
- Outstanding client care and communication abilities.
- A compassionate and empathetic approach when dealing with vulnerable clients.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
