The Role
In this role, you will balance proactive maintenance with rapid-response problem-solving. Your day-to-day will include:
- Preventative Maintenance: Carrying out and reporting on PPM schedules across a diverse range of manufacturing equipment.
- Reactive Repairs: Using your fault-finding expertise to tackle breakdowns and resolve health and safety issues quickly.
- Facilities Support: Performing general repairs to building facilities to ensure an optimal working environment.
- Continuous Improvement: Contributing to plans that enhance our operational efficiency.
What We're Looking For
We need a methodical, reliable engineer who thrives under pressure and works well within a team.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Apprenticeship Trained: You must have served a recognized apprenticeship (Electrical, Mechanical, or Electro-mechanical).
- Certified: Minimum C&G Level 3, NVQ equivalent, BTEC, or ONC.
- Regulations: BS7671 IEE 18th Edition Wiring is essential.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a multi-skilled industrial environment.
- Technical Skills: Strong fault-finding skills in Hydraulics, Pneumatics, and electrical circuits, along with basic machining competencies.
Desirable:
- IOSH safety qualification or C&G 2391 Electrical Inspection and Testing.
- MEWP or FLT licenses.
- TExT LEV P601 qualification.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
