Our client is seeking an experienced Solicitor, Legal Executive, or Licensed Conveyancer to join their growing Chelmsford office. This is an excellent opportunity for a residential property professional with at least 5 years' PQE who is passionate about client service, business development, and building strong relationships with local agents and professionals.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the continued growth of the office, managing a residential conveyancing caseload while contributing to business development initiatives. Working within a supportive and collaborative team, they will benefit from a modern working environment, access to the latest legal technology, and excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing a residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion.
  • Providing clear, practical advice to clients on a range of residential property matters.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with local agents and professional contacts.
  • Ensuring high standards of legal reporting, documentation, and client care.
  • Supporting compliance with SRA, CQS, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Assisting with audits and promoting best practice across the team.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior team members where appropriate.
  • Collaborating effectively with office-based and remote colleagues.
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality and data security standards.
  • Keeping management informed of progress, developments, and any issues arising.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive, or Licensed Conveyancer.
  • Minimum 5 years' PQE with strong residential property experience.
  • Excellent communication, client relationship, and organisational skills.
