We are currently recruiting for an experienced Assistant Branch Manager to join a well-established banking organisation in Manchester. This is a key role within the branch, responsible for overseeing daily operations, supporting team performance, and ensuring high standards of customer service, compliance, and operational control.
The Role
Working closely with the Area Branch Manager, you will take joint responsibility for the smooth and efficient running of the branch. You will play a hands-on role in managing operations, supervising staff, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and internal procedures.
In the absence of the Area Branch Manager, you will take full operational responsibility for the branch.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day branch operations, ensuring operational excellence and efficiency
- Act as Line Manager for Personal Bankers and Cashiers, driving performance and productivity
- Supervise cash operations, including control and authorisation of transactions
- Maintain joint custody of cash, security items, and branch keys, ensuring adherence to control procedures
