The Role: We are seeking an Engineering Manager who can lead a team focused on growing and evolving our consumer‑focused offering, shaping how millions of people experience Trustpilot. As we journey through an increasingly AI‑influenced tech landscape, we are seeking a talented individual to lead a team to further grow Trustpilot’s consumer presence.
Our Consumer area is all about the consumers who engage on posting reviews, searching for companies or reading reviews. Cross‑functional teams are made up of Engineers, Data Scientists, Design and Product. Teams are highly autonomous, owning product, system design and technology decisions.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead a team of around 5‑8 engineers focused on delivering against an ambitious product roadmap of consumer features and technology improvements.
- Develop and support a great team of skilled and motivated engineers through clear expectations, feedback and regular 1:1s.
- Drive in‑team and cross‑team initiatives in partnership with Staff Engineers, Engineering Managers, and Product/UX leaders.
- Evolve, implement, and share innovative strategies to ensure the quality, production readiness, scalability and ongoing health of our apps and systems.
- Manage and mitigate high‑risk elements of projects, effectively communicating issues, risks, and dependencies with stakeholders.
- Shape and enhance engineering strategy in close partnership with Staff Engineers and the wider Engineering Leadership.
- Identify and resolve problems proactively, even in ambiguous situations or where negotiations and trade‑offs are required.
- Enable other functions to perform at their best through effective, enduring partnerships.
- Balance delivery with sustainable engineering practices while managing risks and dependencies.
- Build a positive and high‑performing work environment based on transparency, accountability, and trust.
- Lead the delivery of major initiatives, balancing timely delivery with sustainable engineering practices.
- Bring together the work of various teams and individuals into a cohesive, achievable plan aligned with company goals, key milestone deadlines and user experience standards.
- Cultivate a collaborative environment, actively listening to and integrating diverse perspectives to reach shared goals.
Your Experience Has Given You:
- Several years of experience as a Software Engineer before transitioning into the leadership track.
- A history of effectively scaling and leading multiple engineering teams.
- Knowledge of Full‑Stack service/microservice Development.
- Familiarity with cloud services (e.g. AWS), message queues (e.g. SQS) and Database formats (e.g. DynamoDB), modern frontend technologies (e.g. React, Vue.js) and developing SaaS products.
- Exposure to or experience with App development (iOS, Android and cross‑platform frameworks).
- Highly adept, detail‑oriented professional with the ability to develop and execute strategic plans.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Agile methodologies.
- Experience delivering scalable systems that solve complex technical challenges at scale.
- Extensive stakeholder management experience with a focus on working across multiple functions/domains and the ability to create alignment across diverse teams.
- Experience mentoring and helping engineers grow their technical skills.
- A commitment to contribute to the future of Trustpilot, and the ability to make crucial technical decisions, in a pragmatic way.
- A customer‑centric and solution‑oriented mindset with a bias towards action.
