We are seeking Registered theatre scrub/scout nurses with a minimum of 1 year experience to join our team of theatre nurses at OPH, who work within a multidisciplinary team of health professionals supporting the patient theatre journey.
Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU) experience is not essential for this Theatre Nurse employment; however, it is a mandatory requirement of the position and upskilling will be provided if you do not have this experience/skill.
OPH Theatres operate Monday to Friday 07:30 - 18:00. Emergency Obstetric theatre cover is provided 7 days a week, 365 days a year service. On call roster is a mandatory provision of this role which includes weekend, public holiday and weeknights and accommodation distance MUST be within a 30-minute radius to accommodate the operational requirements.
OPH provides lower acuity and same-day surgical services in specialties including ENT, General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics including arthroplasty, Plastics, Urology including robotics and Vascular, as well as Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
Surgical and other facilities at OPH are undergoing significant expansion, including additional Birth Suites, Inpatient wards, Neonatal Unit, a High Dependency Unit and two additional theatres to be built.
