We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide operating theatre nursing care for our new night shift. The role is part of a recruitment pool that can result in permanent, fixed-term or part-time appointments with potential extension.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care in scrub, scout and anaesthetic nursing roles within the operating theatre team.
- Support Women and Newborn Health Services during obstetric emergencies.
- Participate in perioperative care including pre‑operative, intra‑operative and post‑operative phases.
- Occasionally rotate to day shift during orientation to meet mandatory competency requirements.
- Maintain professional standards, record keeping and comply with WA Health policies.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with nursing registration in Australia.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in scrub/scout theatre nursing or anaesthetic theatre nursing.
- Mandatory PACU experience.
- Experience or interest in obstetric/gynaecology and general theatre settings.
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency; for fixed‑term positions evidence of right to work in Australia.
- Must be eligible for a Western Australian Working With Children Check.
