What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide direct support to individuals in a variety of settings.
- Help individuals receive high standards of care and support to maximise independence and dignity.
- Support people with varying abilities and complex needs to achieve their goals, priorities and personal outcomes.
- Work as part of a team to provide high-quality care, including intimate personal care, developing daily living skills, training, social activities and other meaningful activities in line with individual needs and wishes, while helping individuals avoid danger and harm where possible.

Travel and Accessibility
Social Care Workers may need to travel to undertake duties. An ability to drive with a full driving licence is highly desirable and may be essential depending on service demands. Travel requirements will be clarified through the recruitment process.

- Rate of pay shown includes Distant Islands Allowance
- 2 x Permanent Part Time posts for 30 & 25 hours per week, 52.18 weeks per year
- These posts are predominantly support at home in the community
- Preferred candidates will be required to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update prior to a formal offer of employment
- Successful candidate will have to complete registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) when they begin in post
- A relocation package does not apply
- We will pay interview expenses from within Shetland
- Driver’s licence is an essential requirement
