An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Teacher of Business Education to join our team at our excellently resourced Brae High School.
Brae High School is a non‑denominational school located in Brae. It provides early years, primary and secondary education up to S6 for children from the north mainland of Shetland. The school has 340 pupils on roll, with Secondary 182, Primary 120 and Nursery 38. The school is managed by a Head Teacher and two Deputy Head Teachers. The Acting Head Teacher is Julie Johnson.
Candidate requirements: You must hold registration with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) prior to starting in post, or detail in your application whether you have sought confirmation that you will be able to be registered with the GTCS. The successful candidate will have the necessary qualifications and experience, and possess vision, energy, initiative, good communication skills and self‑discipline.

- Salary shown in the advert is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance of £2,997 per annum (pro rata)
- Permanent Full Time post for 35.0 Hours per Week
- Preferred candidates will be required to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update prior to a formal offer of employment being made
