We seek a compassionate, respectful, and empathetic Social Care Worker to support individuals with learning disability or autism. This role involves assisting adult service users to live independently in their own homes, at Day Support and meaningful activity venues, or during short‑break respite.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to individuals in a variety of settings.
- Ensure high standards of care and support to help individuals retain their independence and dignity.
- Encourage individuals to achieve personal goals and outcomes.
- Work within a team to deliver personal care, daily living skills training, social activities and other meaningful activities.
- Promote safety, avoid danger and harm for all service users.
- Demonstrate the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) core values: Respect, Collaboration, Participation.
The extent of travel will be confirmed in the selection process. Candidates must join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme or update their PVG status before formal offer. Applications will be accepted through the standard council recruitment process.
