Assist in providing the Council’s Cleansing Service (refuse collection, street cleansing, recycling, public conveniences and grounds maintenance) to the public of Shetland and help keep Shetland clean and tidy.

  • Assist in providing the Council’s Cleansing Service, which includes refuse collection, street cleansing, recycling, public conveniences, and grounds maintenance.

Benefits and Conditions of Service:

  • Grade: E
  • Salary: inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance of £2,997 per annum (pro rata)
  • Permanent full‑time post: 37.0 hours per week, 52.18 weeks per year
  • Relocation package does not apply to this post
  • Interview expenses will be paid within Shetland
  • Flexible working arrangements are available
